The CEO of ad agency Claxon has launched a new VC and growth advisory firm, One03 Ventures

A new venture capital and growth advisory firm to help startups move to scale-up has been launched by the chairman and CEO of advertising agency Claxon, Daniel Willis.

One03 Ventures will focus on providing venture capital and/or growth advisory services to Australian businesses and brands with annual revenue between $2.5 million and $25m.

Willis has been joined by partners Jade Axford and Danny Molyneux in creating One03. He said they pair bring deep experience to the team, advising clients how to achieve significant revenue growth, across more than 50 industries.

“Jade and Danny bring their own unique skillsets and experience to the table allowing us to partner the right advisor with the right founder and business,” he said. 

“In an era where entrepreneurship has become “cool” thanks to personalities like Grant Cardone and Gary V, there are lots of incredible entrepreneurs out there that start a great business, find product-market fit, but then get stuck in startup phase – wondering ‘how the hell do I move through the next level of growth’. This is what One03 will help businesses and their founders navigate.” 

Axford is currently Claxon’s chief growth officer, leading new client acquisition globally, with significant experience within complex B2C & B2B sales, operations, client services, growth marketing and business strategy functions. 

Molyneux, formally GM of the Manchester Fire Department (UK) and currently GM at Claxon, brings extensive experience across tech, data & analytics and both macro commercial and digital media strategy to One03. His ability to find simplicity from complexity makes him the perfect advisory partner for more tech and data-centric businesses.  He was previously the agency’s chief strategy officer leading commercial strategy across the entire client portfolio.

The trio will continue in their current roles at Claxon.

Will said that true commercial success lies in the ability to grow and scale and  One03 will work with founders, unlocking their true potential and prevent them from getting stuck in the early stages of their entrepreneurial journey.
